Why Animas... When I was in the 8th grade I already knew that I wasn't going to be able to go to DHS like everyone else was and I was not excited to go to Animas at all. I was very sad because everybody goes to DHS and at the time I thought it was the worst thing. I was no longer going to be able to see my friends and that meant that I had to make new friends which I am not the best at. Going to animas also meant that I would have to do a lot of projects and enter a whole new learning environment. I had done projects before but I was never really into them. Now that I am here I have came to realise a few things. 1. At Animas it actually not very hard to make new friends and in the few weeks that I’ve been here I have made a lot of new friends and I have become more social. As for the new learning environment we’re doing things I’ve never even heard of, like annotating. We haven’t really done any projects yet but we have been working on a Society project in humanities. For this project we get to make mask’s that represent us and I really like that. So far I like Animas and I’m kind of happy I’m going here.
